A 12-week embodied journey for overworked professional women who are ready to cultivate a deeper relationship with themselves and their bodies.
Through Center Within, you'll learn to soften chronic tension, quiet the inner critic, and develop sustainable movement practices that help you listen to your body's innate wisdom - supporting greater presence, ease, vitality, and authenticity in your daily life.
You've spent years being capable, responsible, and caring for others, yet have begun to feel increasingly disconnected from yourself.
You feel stuck in your head and long to feel more grounded, present, and fully yourself in daily life.
Your body often feels tense, braced, or tired, and true rest doesn't seem to restore you.
You understand many of your patterns intellectually but are ready to explore change through direct, lived experience.
You value thoughtful, experiential learning and want movement to become a nourishing, sustainable part of your everyday life.
Experience greater inner trust, ease, and emotional presence.
Develop sustainable movement practices that support vitality, creativity, intuition, and authentic expression.
Bring greater embodied presence into your work, relationships, and daily life.
Center Within offers a different way of learning—one grounded in direct, lived experience. Through somatic movement, embodied anatomy, Body Journal reflections, self-inquiry, and nature-based practices, you'll gradually rediscover the intelligence, rhythms, and wisdom that have been within you all along.
The Center Within Embodied Integration Framework unfolds through four phases:
Phase 1 — Returning to the Body
Arrive: in yourself, as you slow down, settle your nervous system, and begin restoring awareness through foundational somatic movement practices.
Phase 2 — Listening from Within
Deepen: embodied awareness, discover your unique movement signature, and recognize the body stories shaping how you move through life.
Phase 3 — Expanding into Relationship with Self & Nature
Appreciate: your body as part of the living world and cultivate greater nourishment, interconnection, meaning, and belonging.
Phase 4 — Living the Practice
Create: a personal movement plan, integrate what you've learned, and carry embodied presence into everyday life.

Module 1 — Slowing Down, Tuning In
Experience how slowing down creates the conditions for your nervous system to settle. Begin noticing tension, sensation, impulses, and internal rhythms while cultivating greater ease and embodied presence.
Module 2 — Deepening Awareness Within Your Body
Explore how the bones can support stability and how organ awareness can create depth, fullness, and presence. Begin discovering your unique movement signature, including habitual preferences and patterns.
Module 3 — Discovering Your Body Stories
Begin noticing emotions, memories, beliefs, associations, and sensations related to how you move and inhabit your body. Explore how personal history and cultural conditioning may have contributed to body–mind disconnection, creating greater awareness and choice in how you respond.
Module 4 — Introduction to Ecosomatic Practices Explore ecosomatic practices that support the experience of your body as part of the living world rather than separate from it. Cultivate a deeper relationship with nature in your daily life.
Module 5 — Creating a Personal Movement Plan
Explore how movement currently fits into your life and identify the kinds of movement practices that offer greater support. Develop a personalized movement plan based on your body, preferences, lifestyle, needs, and rhythms.
Module 6 — Harvesting and Integration
Recognize the most meaningful insights and changes you've experienced, and integrate what you've learned physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Celebrate your journey with the group and identify the practices you want to carry forward.

“What's been most helpful is that there's really no other space in my life like this one. I'm so grateful that it exists—such a deep, insightful, reflective, and wonderful space for me to reconnect to myself and my body. Thank you!”
— Elizabeth
“I'm realizing that the body is the source, rather than being so much in my head…it's like, ‘Oh, I forgot!!’ Thank you for the space and the guidance. You share your long practice and expertise with such a gentle hand, inviting us to investigate levels of experience—visceral, imaginal, proprioceptive, emotional—in the service of feeling more alive.”
— Irene
“What's been new for me is to realize that my center is always here for me—in my body. It's like it's been here the whole time, but I just didn't know it.”
— Sophie
“Susan asks us first to stand on the earth and from there to listen, feel, and experience our body-mind. She teaches that we care for what we love, making this a practice of learning to love over and over again.”
— Hetty

Hi. I'm Susan.
I'm a dancer, author, embodiment educator, and Master Somatic Movement Educator and Therapist, and I've been teaching for more than three decades in the United States and Asia.
My work is informed by extensive training in dance, Body-Mind Centering®, Authentic Movement, somatic movement education, embodied anatomy, and meditation.
I’m the founder of Embodiment in Education(™) and the author of The Embodied Teen. I lead professional development trainings internationally in my unique somatic curriculum for supporting the next generation through embodiment practices.
At the heart of my work is the belief that meaningful transformation begins by creating the conditions for a deeper relationship with ourselves to emerge.
Through movement, reflection, and embodied practice, I invite people of all ages to rediscover their body's innate wisdom and cultivate a more grounded, present, and authentic way of being.
